This is my favorite Mexican place. We started coming here in 2020 as a way to get out of the house. This is when we learned about BOGO margaritas on Wednesdays. We became regulars every Wednesday through Covid. I don't go as much, but we try and go at least once a week. I have my favorite table! El Agave is super clean and is a big supporter of law enforcement. My fav dish is the Arroz con Pollo, but I sub steak for chicken and add bacon and mushrooms. Also, the green salsa is fire.
It seems Finding good restaurants is few and far between these days. I hadn't been here in years and it's still as awesome as ever. Great , friendly service and AMAZING food. Also very clean!

Each dish was bursting with authentic Mexican flavors, and it was clear that great care went into the preparation. The serving sizes were generous, ensuring that no one left the table hungry. What truly stood out, though, was the exceptional service. The wait staff was attentive, helpful, and prompt, always ensuring our needs were met without being intrusive.
Absolutely the best authentic Mexican food I've had in years. Went for dinner around 5:30 and were seated right away. Our server was the BEST. Super friendly, very efficient. Chips were much better than run of the mill chips served from other Mexican restaurants. Margarita was quite tasty. Food was served quickly and super piping hot. VERY generous portions. My sister in law LOVED the Taco Salad, said it was loaded with beef and very tasty. I had the #3 on the Combination Platters: Taco, Enchilada and Chile Relleno. All 3 were superb. Great flavor. The Relleno was not in a greasy batter and had a delicious stuffing. Can't wait to go back.
Great margaritas and the food is not tex mex! Our watiter was very polite and friendly. I talked my son in law into trying this restaurant and he loved it. Two days later I took my daughter and she loved it also.
Wonderful service. The server was friendly and attentive, but not overbearing. We really liked the atmosphere. It was relaxed and inviting. The food was hot and tasty. I had the carnitas. I'm a carnitas snob and prefer it to be dark meat to light, but it wasn't cooked to death or bland, so I still enjoyed it. I will try other foods there next time I go and there will certainly be a next time!
This place was one of the cleanest restaurants I've ever walked into and smelled great, I told this to my husband at least a couple of times, lol. We just had a draft beer and chips and salsa as we were just killing time. But the chips were warm and the salsa was fresh, very good. Service was good. They were slow during the time we were there, so the service people were multi-tasking, but we had everything we needed. Good experience.
We love this place. Always good food, always friendly and supporting local people.
